New ‘slow feed’ Milk Bar teat for use in automatic calf feeders
The Milk Bar range of teats for calves has further expanded with the introduction of a new teat designed for use in automatic feeders: the Milk Bar Automatic Teat.
Like the other teats in the range, this new Automatic Teat is designed to ensure calves have to suckle for the milk. This slower feeding boosts production of saliva which is beneficial to calf health and milk digestion, removes the urge to cross-suckle, and reduces risk of nutritional scours.
The Milk Bar Automatic Teat has ‘side wings’ to help the user position it correctly in the feeder. It should be replaced after every 700 litres of milk throughput. Due to its ‘slow feed’ design it is important to limit calf numbers on each feeder to 20, ideally 17.
The Milk Bar Automatic Teat is available in packs of 10. For more information, please click here.
