Dairy Spares has introduced SureSil, an anti-microbiological silicone tubing for linking the milking cluster to the milk line, it contains a silver base biocide additive to kill bacteria.
Compared to standard silicone, it offers a 99.99% reduction in E.coli and 85% reduction in MRSA.
The biocide additive contains silver ions which break down the cell walls of bacteria and inhibit the growth of any micro-organisms. It also provides on-going protection by preventing bacteria from contaminating and colonising its surface.
SureSil silicone tubing offers high durability and doesn’t erode or become porous, compared to rubber tubing. Its smooth internal and external surfaces are easy to clean and it can withstand extreme temperatures.
